N2O sensors for detecting nitrous oxide
Nitrous oxide can be found in many industrial processes: It is used in medical technology to anaesthetise patients or in the food industry to foam milk products. To achieve the desired result, the correct mixing ratio is crucial. Furthermore, leakages can affect people's perception and concentration and thus endanger occupational safety. Nitrous oxide is also used in semiconductor manufacturing as a reaction gas for coating circuit board surfaces.
N2O sensors of the FLOWEVO series from smartGAS are ideally suited for this task: they work on the basis of non-dispersive infrared absorption (NDIR) and therefore detect even the lowest concentrations of nitrous oxide. The sensors are available for the measuring range of 500 ppm.
